Professional Career
Erika Riedl joined the firm in 2024. She graduated in law from the Universities of Innsbruck and Padua. In addition, she completed an International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport with the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) in Neuchâtel. Thereafter, Erika Riedl worked for almost two decades for international sports federations and organisations in various functions, as well as Legal Counsel for the Swiss Arbitration Centre. She continued her professional development in the field of sports law, among others in esports law and sports integrity.
Areas of Expertise
Erika Riedl's expertise lies in national and international sports law. Among others she advises clients on regulatory and governance matters, or in disciplinary proceedings, such as doping, ethics and safeguarding cases. In addition, she represents clients before relevant instances, such as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Erika Riedl also acts as an arbitrator and mediator (CEDR). Finally, she has in-depth interests in esports. She is currently completing her doctoral studies in esports integrity, and lectures esports law at the Hochschule für angewandtes Management (HAM).
Erika Riedl practices in English, German, Italian and French. She also has a good knowledge of Spanish.
