Professional Career

Stefan Eichenberger holds a law degree from the University of Zurich (lic. iur. 2008) from which he also obtained a doctorate in business law (Dr. iur. 2011). He was admitted to the bar in Zurich in 2015.

From 2009 to 2010, he was a research assistant at the chair for business law and intellectual property law at the University of Zurich. Later on, he held the position of a clerk at the District Court of Zurich (2011-2012). From 2012-2015, he served as a clerk at the Tax Appeals Court of the canton of Zurich. After that, he worked as an attorney at a law office focussing on business and tax law for two years before he joined our firm in 2017.

Areas of Expertise

Stefan Eichenberger regularly advises clients in connection in contractual and corporate law-related matters and supports them in protecting their interests in court proceedings. His preferred areas of practice are contract law (including labour law and tenancy law), corporate law, inheritance law (including being executor of a will), data protection law, tax law as well as litigation.

Expertise

During his career, Stefan Eichenberger has, among others, carried out the following mandates:

  • conducting court proceedings (civil and criminal proceedings)
  • representation in proceedings for permits for mobile telephone antennae
  • general external counsel for companies (in particular in labour, tenancy, corporate and contract law)
  • assistance in labour law matters
  • advising on data protection law, including assuming mandates as data protection officer
  • providing advice on the formation, restructuring, etc. of companies
  • advising private individuals in matters of inheritance law (wills, contracts of inheritance, division of estates)
  • assisting in matters relating to the KESB incl. assumption of specialist guardianships
  • member of the board of a housing cooperative
  • conducting training courses in labour law, tenancy law, data protection law and contract law
